Hi, everyone! I’m Kelly Palmatier, the founder of the Restitution Fund
for Victims of Psychic Fraud.
A Skeptic’s Influence
As a psychic medium myself, I’ve often heard criticism of the industry. Some skeptics believe that no psychic or medium could ever be legitimate.
While my own experience has shown me that credible providers do exist, I became genuinely interested in understanding these perspectives. Rather than dismissing skepticism, I chose to explore it. I wanted to know what people were seeing, experiencing, and reacting to.
Evidential Details
I practice what is known as evidential mediumship. This means my readings include specific, verifiable details such as a spirit’s appearance, personality, manner of passing, shared memories, and even exact names.
Because of this, I’ve always approached my work with a strong emphasis on clarity, accountability, and evidence.
A Shifting Perspective
That standard shaped how I viewed the industry as a whole. As I looked more closely, I began to understand where some of the criticism was coming from. It’s always been clear that many practitioners are not focused on evidential details, but what’s particularly alarming is when service providers use fear, urgency, and emotional vulnerability to manipulate others for financial gain.
I also realized that, as my reviews, stage presentations, and demo reels showcase legitimacy in the industry, that actually opens the door wider for potential con artists to walk through.

Raising the Standard
I had already named my company Channeling White Light, because I’m passionate about making a positive difference in the world. Yet these realizations made me want to do more.
Ultimately, I ended up writing the book, the Psychic Credibility Scoring System, detailing a point-based system designed to evaluate indicators of ethical practice and potential warning signs within the industry.
The goal of the PCS system is not to judge belief itself, but to encourage informed decision-making. It provides a structured way to distinguish between providers who aim to serve responsibly and those who may be engaging in harmful or deceptive practices.
Why I Created the Restitution Fund
I realized that, as more practitioners came to support the PCS, we have the opportunity to help even further.
The Restitution Fund for Victims of Psychic Fraud operates on a core belief that ethical practitioners have a responsibility to help protect the public. This fund is a natural extension of that belief.
While the PCS focuses on prevention and awareness, the Restitution Fund exists to support those who have already been affected.
Moving Forward
My goal is not to change one’s belief or disbelief. It is to promote ethical standards, encourage informed decision-making, and offer real support where it is needed.
